Foot Pains.

I thought the tittle was fitting.. Well I've been super stressed and terrified about my upcoming Foot Surgery. Some of you keep wondering why are you getting a foot surgery in the first place well here it is:

When I was ten years old in 5th grade. One day at school I just couldn't put any weight on my Right foot because of pain I was getting on/around my arch. So immidiately my mom had to take me to the foot doctor and we learned that I have VERY High arches (thanks to my mom) and my bone structure in my foot is put together like someone with flat feet (thanks to my dad). So the doctor goes on to tell me that I roll my feet in when I walk because my foot naturally wants to flatten but I have a high arch so its causing me stress. Then he says the pain i'm getting on this very red bone above my arch is caused by this. Yes I have an extra bone in my Right foot It's a very common thing.. Yet it isn't common to have severe pain in that area. Everything combined Made it so I had to have a Cast on my foot for 2 months and then I was given $200 dollar arches to find proper shoes (no sandles not high heals nothing with small soles pretty much UGLY shoes) to put them in until I could get surgery. Oh I also have had 40 year bunions sense I as 10.

Well I couldn't get surgery until they knew that my feet were done growing because of where that extra bone is and for girls they usually stop growing around 18. However, when i turned 18 my family was going threw a rough patch.. and near the middle of my 18th year they split up.. causing me to never go back to the foot doctor and never get this medically needed surgery.

So lets come to the now.. Now I have a job at forever 21 which in their nifty manual with the dress code they say "no sneakers" there for I have been in  a SEVERE amount of pain.. and even when I break those roles I am still in a great deal of pain once I take my shoes off. So I went to the foot doctor and he told me "either you can get new inserts which I can't tell you right now wont be any different then the ones you have. Or get surgery. If you don't want surgery then you will have to deal with the pain." there for I said.... I need surgery and It has been a on going battle in my heaad sense I was 10... I don't like the sound of surgery and never have... So this last week... I've been really struggling with the fact that I have to get it.

It helps know the day though. Which the date is May 6th. We will not know what time of day until We go for are appointment before the surgery to get told how everything will run and yadda yadda x-rays yadda yadda. Which that appointment is next thursday. I am getting My extra bone removed then they are going to shave down my bunion so that I don't get pain from that anymore and then they will be putting this thing called a Bullet inbetween two bones on the outside of my foot so that it Holds its self up (getting rid of the rolling effect i mentioned before). Then I will be in a cast for 3 weeks. after those 3 weeks I will have a Boot for another 3 weeks. I"m not sure when I"ll be getting the second foot done. Which is just putting the bullet in and removing the bunion because i don't have an extra bone on the foot but I do still have a lot of pain. so there you have it. The full length story of Kristy Edgertons Foot Surgery.
